"This forum will help applicants submit complete and high-quality documentation," the FDA announcement states. Take Off: German Congress for Laboratory Medicine (DKLM 2024)

The pace and extent of globalization are constantly increasing: Thanks to technological advances, transport costs have fallen considerably, international trade and commerce have increased significantly, and production processes and the division of labor have become internationalized. At the same time, people all over the world are leaving their ancestral homes, seeking protection from war and persecution, or fleeing social or medical emergencies. However, trade and migration present challenges that medicine, and laboratory medicine in particular, must address. In particular, physicians may be confronted with diseases that have not occurred in Europe for decades, or new pathogens may emerge. Language barriers, cultural differences, and differing perceptions of illness complicate treatment, and a lack of practical experience also plays a role. Laboratory medicine can make a crucial contribution to understanding, detecting, and analyzing diseases, thus providing treating physicians with an important tool for therapy. Furthermore…

World Hospital Congress of the International Hospital Federation (IHF) in Geneva

The International Hospital Federation (IHF) will collaborate with Geneva University Hospital (HUG) and the Canton of Geneva to host its annual event from November 10-13, 2025, at the Geneva International Convention Centre (CICG). This marks the first time the event will be held in Geneva and is a significant occasion for the IHF, as the city is also its headquarters. Following the selection of the host organization, representatives from HUG will join the organizing committee for the 2025 edition of the event. The congress brings together hospital leaders and healthcare system executives to network through global learning for local action. The IHF is the only organization that provides a global forum specifically for leaders and executives to build capacity and promote best practices in healthcare management.
