The podcast series "Diagnose Deutschland" from LabNews Media LLC is now available on RTL+. The politically disruptive format, with DGKL board member Jan Wolter as a guest, is hosted by investigative journalist Vlad Georgescu.
The podcast explores topics from laboratory medicine, health policy, and societal challenges in healthcare. In the first episode, which was recently released, Wolter discussed, among other things, the effects of a lack of sugar tax and called for a more comprehensive health tax on risky ingredients in food.
"Diagnose Deutschland" positions itself as a critical format that discusses topics factually and controversially. It originated from the cooperation between LabNews Media LLC and Wolter as a representative of the German Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (DGKL). The series launched in March 2026 and is now being made accessible to a broader audience via the RTL+ platform, among others.
