La prueba utiliza CRISPR para detectar un objetivo genético específico de Burkholderia pseudomallei. La bacteria causa la melioidosis, la prueba rápida tiene una sensibilidad del 93 por ciento. Fue desarrollada por investigadores de la Mahidol-Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit (MORU), la Universidad de Chiang Mai, el Instituto Vidyasirimedhi de Ciencia y Tecnología (VISTEC) en Tailandia y el Wellcome Sanger Institute en el Reino Unido. La prueba, denominada CRISPR-BP34, implica la ruptura de células bacterianas y el uso de una reacción de amplificación por recombinasa-polimerasa para amplificar el ADN objetivo bacteriano, aumentando así la sensibilidad. Además, se utiliza una reacción CRISPR para garantizar la especificidad y se utiliza una lectura sencilla de una tira de flujo lateral para confirmar los casos de melioidosis. Die Apothekenteams und ihre Patientinnen und Patienten haben derzeit mit einer inakzeptablen Häufung an Ausfällen im E-Rezept-System zu kämpfen. Schon seit mehreren Tagen ist es den Apotheken teils stundenlang nicht möglich, E-Rezepte vom zuständigen Fachdienst (Server) abzurufen und diese zu beliefern. Dr. Hans-Peter Hubmann, Vorsitzender des Deutschen Apothekerverbandes (DAV), erklärt dazu: „Immer häufiger und insbesondere in den Morgenstunden kommt es dazu, dass der Zugang zum E-Rezept-System nicht möglich ist. Unsere Patientinnen und Patienten, die teilweise schnell lebensnotwendige Arzneimittel benötigen, müssen wir in diesen Fällen vertrösten. Das ist ein inakzeptabler Zustand, der sofort gelöst werden muss.“ Die für den technischen Betrieb verantwortliche Gematik wiederum teilte mit: „Zurzeit kommt es wiederkehrend zu technischen Beeinträchtigungen beim Anbieter medisign.
