Reporting on clinical trials is increasing

After nearly a decade of intensive efforts, the latest raw data suggest that reporting rates are improving. The EU Trials Tracker website, which monitors trial reporting, shows that by the time Nature went to press, 83.4% of all trials due for reporting had published their results. The US, which began monitoring and enforcing clinical trial results reporting around the same time as the EU, is also catching up. According to the latest data from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), 77.4% of trials registered on clinicaltrials.gov that were due for reporting had published their results.
