The US and China develop AI, Germany's companies merely use it. This is how the result of a Deloitte study can be translated.
Deloitte, of course, expresses it more diplomatically: "In terms of the introduction and intensity of use of AI applications, they are significantly above the global average; in terms of willingness to experiment, they rank first globally, according to the country-specific analysis of the new AI study 'State of GenAI in the Enterprise' by Deloitte with 2773 executives worldwide, 150 of them in Germany. can summarize the behavior of Germans regarding AI."
Germany ranks second worldwide when it comes to the availability of AI for the workforce. "At a quarter of the respondents, over 60 percent of employees have access to these technologies – only Japanese companies can show a slightly higher rate here (26%), well above the global average (15%)."
Although relatively new, the topic of AI agents is booming. According to the study, the trend is particularly pronounced in German companies: 62 percent of respondents show increased interest in this technology, significantly more than the global average (52%). This puts Germany in second place worldwide behind India (70%).
