A new major project, DORIAN GRAY, funded by the European Union (EU) and led by the University of Brescia and partners such as the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), aims to uncover the links between cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and mild cognitive impairment (MCI). The ambition of the DORIAN GRAY project is in line with the EU's "Horizon Europe" strategic plan for 2021–2024, emphasizing a holistic approach to disease prevention and the promotion of physical and mental health.
DORIAN GRAY has a duration of five years (official start date is January 1, 2025) and a budget of 11 million euros, which will be distributed among 24 partners. The official launch will take place on February 27 at an event at the University of Brescia in Italy.
