Fujitsu, Fsas Technologies and Schwarz Digits Enter Strategic Partnership

Fujitsu, Fsas Technologies, and Schwarz Digits, the IT and digital division of the Schwarz Group, are entering into a strategic partnership to advance sovereign digital infrastructure in Europe. As the companies announced, they intend to combine their strengths in sovereign cloud, computing, and infrastructure, build on their existing collaboration in retail, and create a common foundation for future requirements in AI and IT infrastructure. Schwarz Digits' cloud solution STACKIT is intended to serve as a component of a more comprehensive joint approach.

According to the companies, the partnership combines Schwarz Digits' European cloud expertise with Fujitsu's technology and industry expertise, as well as Fsas Technologies' computing infrastructure. A joint steering, proofs-of-concept, technical workflows, and coordinated go-to-market activities are planned. At the same time, the foundation is to be laid for scaling sovereign computing capacities and supporting future AI requirements. The collaboration supports Fujitsu's "Management Vision 2035" to achieve positive social impact and sustainable growth through digital services.

"Europe needs trustworthy partnerships that combine sovereign cloud, advanced computing, and scalable infrastructure," said Vivek Mahajan, CTO at Fujitsu. Together with Schwarz Digits, we are building on the established work in retail through GK Software and offering customers direct access to Fujitsu innovations, including the MONAKA processor. This allows them to benefit from high-performance, energy-efficient computing power and create a broader foundation for their digital and AI transformation.

Christian Müller, CEO of Schwarz Digits, said that digital sovereignty can only be strengthened through long-term collaboration along the entire technological value chain. By combining sovereign cloud and digital expertise with the know-how of Fujitsu and Fsas Technologies, they can jointly support customers and create a scalable foundation for future growth.

The partners want to bundle their complementary competencies in cloud, computing, data, security, and AI. STACKIT provides a European cloud platform with a focus on security, GDPR compliance, and data residency, while Fujitsu and Fsas Technologies contribute technology, industry expertise, and infrastructure competencies for business-critical environments. Fujitsu, Fsas Technologies, and GK Software intend to use and integrate relevant STACKIT services where they strengthen customer solutions. Beyond cloud access, the partnership aims to develop sovereign computing and infrastructure options for data-intensive, AI-powered, and business-critical workloads across Europe.

In addition, the companies want to coordinate the planning of annual cloud consumption, computing capacity, and hardware investments to create a scalable foundation for growing AI workloads. They cite a stronger standalone technology ecosystem, integrated transformation capabilities, a scalable path to future capacity, and a clear path to greater digital sovereignty as benefits for customers. Fujitsu's consulting services are intended to help customers assess sovereignty risks and strengthen control, resilience, and regulatory compliance.
