Over 33,300 health experts from 169 countries attended the European Society of Cardiology's ESC Congress in Madrid. The world's leading cardiovascular medicine event was held in collaboration with the World Heart Federation and focused on the theme of “Global Health.”
The program included the release of five ESC clinical practice guidelines and their updates, as well as an unprecedented number of abstracts and late-breaking science submissions from 115 countries. Top submitting countries included China, Japan, the USA, and Italy. Over 1,100 sessions presented practice-changing research, including groundbreaking findings revealed in ten hotline sessions and 28 late-breaking science sessions.
Additionally, over 190 studies were simultaneously published in leading scientific journals, underscoring the congress's central role in advancing cardiovascular science.
