The COSMO Science Forum in the Kulturpalast Dresden will be showing the new exhibition “Dr. Future – Medical Technology from Dresden Science” starting October 1, 2024. Scientists from Dresden research institutions will present their current projects and offer an interactive journey into the future of medicine.
The exhibition “Dr. Future” shows how continuous research and innovation can improve people's quality of life and save lives. From prevention through diagnosis to surgery, the exhibition highlights the advances in medical technology made possible by the collaboration between engineering and medicine. Dresden scientists are contributing to the development of new treatment options with their inventions, which find application in both everyday life and medical facilities.
Visitors to the exhibition can learn, for example, how artificial intelligence will support medical diagnosis in the future, what novel implants are made of textiles, and how new medical tests are created. A real ultrasound device, a digital nose, and surgical instruments to try out yourself await the audience. The researchers present their projects in an entertaining way: with interactive exhibits, science comics, videos, and games.

The exhibition is aimed at science enthusiasts aged 12 and over. It is free and can be visited from Tuesday to Thursday between 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
