RET inhibitor in Phase 2

Ellipses Pharma Limited („Ellipses“), a global drug development company focused on accelerating the development of cancer treatments through an innovative drug development model, announced today the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has confirmed the company’s next generation selective RET inhibitor (SRI), EP0031/A400, is clear to progress into Phase 2 clinical development. EP0031 is being developed jointly by Ellipses in a global clinical phase 1/2 trial under the name EP0031 (NCT05443126) and Sichuan-Kelun Biotech in China under the names KL590586/A400 (NCT05265091). Modular Phase 1 studies have been conducted in the US, Europe and China and a registrational Phase 2 trial in China is ongoing. Activating RET mutations and rearrangements have been identified as actionable drivers of oncogenesis in numerous tumour types and are most prevalent in non-small cell lung and thyroid cancer. AMGEN with new respiratory data

Amgen (NASDAQ:AMGN) today announced the presentation of new respiratory data at the American Thoracic Society (ATS) 2024 International Conference taking place May 12-22 in San Diego. Thirteen abstracts supporting two approved medicines and one investigational treatment will be presented. Data from the COURSE trial will be presented within the Clinical Trials Symposium. COURSE was a proof-of-concept, Phase 2a study evaluating the safety and efficacy of Tezspire® (tezepelumab-ekko) in patients with moderate to very severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), irrespective of inflammatory drivers, blood eosinophil count (BEC), emphysema, chronic bronchitis and smoking status.

Chinesischen Wissenschaftlern ist kürzlich die direkte Synthese hochreiner Benzaldehyd-Chemikalien durch selektive Elektrooxidation von Benzylalkohol gelungen. Das dreiphasige Reaktionssystem Organisch-Feststoff-Wasser (OSW) hat im Vergleich zu herkömmlichen elektrochemischen Zellen vom H-Typ besondere Vorteile bei der Reduzierung ohmscher Verluste und der Vereinfachung von Produkttrennungs- und Reinigungsprozessen gezeigt. Die Elektrokatalyse in wässrigem Elektrolyt gilt als umweltfreundliche Methode für organische Redoxreaktionen, da Wasser eine saubere Wasserstoff- und Sauerstoffressource ist. Aufgrund der schlechten Löslichkeit verschiedener organischer Stoffe in der wässrigen Phase sind jedoch in den meisten Fällen mehrstufige Verdünnungs-Reaktions-Reinigungsprozesse erforderlich. Walmart Health wird geschlossen
